The Fall of Aussie Dominance

For the last decade or so, it was Australia who were ranked No.1 in Tests and ODI for the most part. They were not easy to be beaten as they had very good and even great players together who made up a formidable force. But, now as three of their great players namely, Shane Warne, Adam Gilchrist, Glenn McGrath have retired has their indomitableness fading?

Many cricket gurus are now saying that it is indeed the time, the fading of the Aussies has begun. But, won't there be a resurgence by this once-a-great team? Only God knows.

By the way, India has come up to be a good match to the powerful Australian team. Maybe four of their great players are close to retire, but still they have plenty of talented young players as replacements. But, then, how about the Aussies? Haven't they got good players as replacements as well? Well, they have got good players, but one cannot still tell whether they can match upto the talent of the retired elite players. Only time will say.

In my opinion, it's good to see that some of the Test playing countries are catching up with the best. Then, we won't have to watch those boring predictable matches like in the past. Viva la cricket!
